Who We Are

Hey there! We're Chris and Patricia Kaelin, and welcome to our little corner of the internet. We're proud grandparents, lifelong learners, and family-first people living in the beautiful Bluegrass State of Kentucky. Being grandparents to Cecily and August has been one of life's greatest joys — there's nothing quite like seeing the world through a child's eyes again or watching them discover something new for the first time. Our daughter Peyton and son-in-law Joel keep us on our toes too. Whether we're having Sunday dinners, planning family adventures, or just spending quiet time together, these moments are what matter most. Chris's path here has been anything but straight. After serving in the Air Force and spending years building software, he discovered that what he loves most isn't just the coding — it's the problem-solving, the "aha!" moments, and sharing what he's learned with others. Whether he's helping our church with their live stream setup, building something new for fun, or teaching Cecily and August how computers work, technology is just another way to bring people together.

Life Beyond the Screen

When Chris is not tinkering with code or we aren't trying new food/recipes, you'll find us:

  • Playing with our grandchildren (and probably getting schooled at video games)
  • Trying new recipes and perfecting old family favorites
  • Cheering for our favorite teams—win or lose, we're loyal
  • Serving at church and helping with their technology needs
  • Taking walks around our beautiful Kentucky neighborhood
  • Reading, learning something new, or planning the next family adventure

Things We're Working On

Family Time – The most important project of all. Planning gatherings, teaching grandchildren something new, or just being present for the people we love.

Side Projects – This site is a perfect example — Chris built it from scratch because we wanted a place that truly reflected who we are as a family. That's how he thinks: the best way to learn is by building things, even if they're just for us and the people we love.

Our Church – We're both part of the behind the scenes leadership team, and Chris helps the tech side. Whether it's live streaming services or helping with the website and social media, it's rewarding work that serves our community.
